About The Founder
Hi, I'm Angela, a retired Army Colonel. I am a decorated war veteran, turned life coach. After serving honorably in the US Army for over 27 years I retired and got my son settled into our small quaint town, started a personal development business, and wrote and published my first book, "Bronco Strong: A Memoir of the Last Deployed Personnel Services Battalion". I decided to continue to be of service to others by training for and earning my life coaching certification. I know how to get things done.
While serving on active duty, I was fortunate to lead diverse teams during both peacetime and during combat operations. When I served as the Adjutant General's Corps' Branch Chief at the Human Resources Command I learned how to help officers develop a solid five year career plan.
At the beginning of my successful military career, while serving at Fort Bragg, NC, I deployed with my unit in support of Operation Desert Storm. During my second combat deployment I deployed as an individual augmentee in support of US Army Central Command. My third and final deployment was in Iraq. I served as a battalion commander in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This was the most tumultuous assignment and yet the most rewarding of my career.
One thing I know for sure is relationships matter and the way we treat our Soldiers impacts the manner in which the mission is accomplished.
I want to help you navigate through the minefields as you successfully move through the various phases of your wonderful life. After being retired from the Army for a few years, I can finally catch my breath. I feel an obligation to open up my calendar and give more heroes like you a leg up. Think of me as your virtual mentor.

The Better U Academy for Grown Women is NOT for everyone and truth be told I’d prefer to help you figure out if it’s NOT right for you before you join rather than waste your time. So let’ me take a moment to answer any questions so you know this is right for you, including…
I'm a relatively new supervisor in the government sector. I want to ensure I measure up.
YES, absolutely this is the right training for you. What you learn will not only build your confidence in leading others, but will save you a LOT of frustration, trial and error trying to figure things out on your own. The one thing I hear often from my students is “I wish I had found you sooner…” so I’m confident you’ll love what you’re about to learn. And remember you can test out the Academy for 60 full days without any risk, so jump in and check it out.
I’m a more experienced leader, will I still get value in this training? I just want to tune up my leadership skills to ensure I'm keeping up with effective ways to manage millennials.
Even very experienced leaders will be learning new things in the Academy. I’ve coached several thousand 6 and 7 figure earners who are comfortable with their leadership skills, so I am very familiar with the challenges that face women at all levels of their business. The core ideas you’ll learn will definitely help even at a more advanced level, and if you ever want some additional help outside the regular Academy calls, just let me know.
I’m really busy right now. What if I can’t get through all the training?
If you’re busy, you’ll find the academy even more helpful that other programs because it’s designed for you to go at your own pace, on your own schedule. You’ll have on-going access to all the lessons and tools in the academy, and opportunities to get YOUR questions answered every month. We also release lessons in a way that makes it fairly easy for people to keep up, so don’t worry about being overwhelmed or left behind. I’ve got your back!
Why should I join today instead of waiting?
You can wait and join the Academy at a later date, but we only open the doors a few times a year (and I can’t promise that you’ll get a spot as demand is pretty high already). Also – if you join now you get a HUGE savings on our usual fee – more than a 50% discount. And you’ll get to keep that low rate for as long as you’re a student, so it’s really worth jumping in now. Also, I’m keeping this first round of students to a small number, so you’ll get more of my time and attention (and be part of a more intimate group) if you join now, vs later.
What if I decide this school isn’t for me?
No problem. You have 60 full days to test everything out. You’ll get access to our monthly bundles, the Believe conference training, our Q and A calls and Private Facebook group, which should give you a really good idea of how the Academy works. If you decide it’s not for you, just let us know in writing before the 60 day mark and you can get a full refund on any tuition paid to date.
Am I locked in for a year with the monthly payment?
I’ve worked hard to make the Academy as affordable as possible, because I know the longer you stay in the Academy, the more your business and income can grow. To reward those who pay in advance, there’s an even bigger discount, but you can also pay monthly and make it easy to budget. You’re not locked in with the monthly payment and can opt out at any time, but I do hope you’ll stick around because the results are worth it!
Can men join the academy too?
Of course – men are MOST welcome. Everything that’s taught in the Academy works for men and women, anyone who wants to achieve success in their relationships, health, finances, and in their leadership abilities. The Academy is branded for grown women who are intentionally evolving into a better version of themselves, but anyone will find these ideas helpful. (And hey, what smart man doesn’t want to be part of a school made up of savvy, ambitious women?)
Can I upgrade to the annual rate later?
Yes you can. If you decide within the first 60 days you want to upgrade, just let us know. After that it makes more sense for you to stick with the monthly rate.
