Clayton County Public Schools Counselor Professional Learning Experience
Our BLLX proposal has been accepted by Clayton County Public Schools, and the BLLX team has been invited to move forward in the process to deliver a professional learning experience for approximately 90 school counselors.
BLLX team members participating on October 30 should keep this date available. Specific reporting times, individual assignments, presentation schedules, room assignments, and final logistical details will be provided as they are confirmed.

Presenter Spotlight: Dr. Yvonne N. Crawford
Dr. Yvonne N. Crawford will serve as the Immersive Bullying Simulation™ Lead for the 2026 Bullying, Literacy, & Leadership Experience.
The Immersive Bullying Simulation™ is an experiential learning curriculum built around one bullying incident viewed from different perspectives. Throughout BLLX, attendees will receive information from different perspectives, interact with others, examine assumptions, seek clarification, and consider how new information can change what they believe and how they respond.
October 31 will mark the inaugural live pilot of the Immersive Bullying Simulation™.

The Bullying, Literacy, & Leadership Experience (BLLX) is a one-day, interactive learning experience designed to better equip adults who support children.
BLLX brings together perspectives from bullying prevention, literacy, leadership, education, parenting, youth advocacy, legal awareness, and lived experience—turning those perspectives into practical information and strategies adults can use.
Adults are the participants. Children are the beneficiaries.

Introduces Judge Nailah Grant McFarlane and provides a closer look at her session, “When Bullying Behaviors Spill Beyond the Classroom: A Youth Court Judge’s Perspective.”
Judge McFarlane will help attendees explore how behaviors commonly described as bullying may sometimes intersect with conduct that has specific legal terminology and potential legal consequences. The session will also examine why facts, context, documentation, and accurate reporting matter when adults are responding to concerning behaviors involving children.

BLLX is intentionally designed for adults because children should not be expected to navigate difficult situations alone. When children turn to the adults around them, those adults need practical tools, shared language, resources, and the confidence to know what to do next
